Abstract

Benzimidazole is an important class of compounds with a wide spectrum of biological activity. This five membered heterocyclic moiety confer for various biological activities. In this study, we prepared some benzimidazole derivatives of 2-(2´-pyridyl) benzimidazole and investigated their cytotoxic effect. The structure of the synthesized analogs were characterized by UV, IR and 1H NMR spectral data and evaluated for their cytotoxic effect.
